Children's Programs

The winter program brochure is now available at the library. We have many new programs as well as the favourite programs. Check out the WOW programs - Sheltoons, puppets, magicians and Geordie Productions.

Top YA Book 2008


It is really hard deciding which book deserves the honour of being the top pick of 2008. Twilight was a huge hit along with the sequels which I thoroughly enjoyed. This being said, I think that the book which best deserves the best distinction is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I enjoyed the book immensely because it was a quick read, had a disturbing plot and it was well written. Imagine yourself in the future, living in a district controlled by an overpowering State where if you are between 12-18, you may end up in a survivor like battle. The twist is that at least in survivor, you live......

Our crocodile needs a name

We have a new mascot for the Children's Department. What we don't have is a name. The crocodile is up in the library, so come and see him and decide which name you would like. If you can think of one, you can either tell the Children's desk staff or you can email me at kconroy@cotesaintluc.org!
