New Moon now in theaters

So, New Moon is now out in the theaters.  I went last night to the advance opening with my daughter.  She was super-excited to see the movie, well, to see Jacob.  I have to say that it was much better than Twilight but I still stand firm that the books are so much better than the movies.  What do you think???

James Heneghan at the Library

This morning we were treated to a delightful presentation by James Heneghan.  James has written several YA books (over 20!) and came to the library to speak about 2 of his books as well as his writing process.  We had 2 schools come to the library to hear his presentation - UTT and Merton Elementary.  All the students were amazing and had great questions for James.  Thanks to James to coming to our library.  View a clip of his presentation :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbkYNszRl60

Winner of the Twihard contest

We played our Twihard jeopardy today and it was lots of fun.  The grand winner was Adrianna who had 4400 points.  Great job!!!!  She really knew her Twiligt books :)

Children's Book Week!

Happy Children's Book week!  We have lots of exciting events to celebrate this important week.  Today we kick off with the Twihard contest, the bookmark contest and the special "I love to read" storytime.  The theme this year for children's book week is Gold Medal Reading.  We have the pleasure, thanks to the Canadian Council grant, to have author James Heneghan at the library on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
